Trauma Sensitive Yoga is a practice
that gives trauma survivors the opportunity to reclaim their body and to experience that they have a choice. An
unpublished study by the Trauma Center at JRI in Brookline, Massachusetts, ("Boston Trauma Center"), has shown that
ten weeks of Trauma Sensitive Yoga resulted in a clinically significant decrease in the severity of the symptoms of Post Traumatic
Stress Disorder (PTSD). Marije E. Paternotte, owner of Be Your Own Yoga, holds a certification from the Boston
