Let Your Yoga Dance offers a
unique and joyful approach to movement. It combines the time-honored traditions of yoga, breath, the chakra system, and user-friendly
dance, with music from all over the world. No matter what age, experience or knowledge of yoga and energy work you have, this
wonderful inspirational dance of yoga will bring healing to the seven energy centers (the chakras) in your body, to your mind
and to your spirit. This class is for everyone and any body!
By letting your yoga dance,
you can come into contact with your inner dancer, your creative self and your indwelling spirit, and feeling completely free.
In addition, a Let Your Yoga Dance class will tone your muscles, build flexibility, endurance and cardiovascular fitness.
What
happens in a Let Your Yoga Dance class?
The seven chakras provide the basis for this yoga dance, using world
music that connects with each individual chakra.
The class will start with warmp-ups, grounding the first (or:
root) chakra. By moving the hips and pelvis, the water element of the second chakra will be stimulated next. Building up the
rythm, the third chakra is strenghtened with powerful warrior movements. From the heart chakra, healing and loving kindness
will be danced into the world. The high energy part of the class blasts through the fifth chakra, dancing your full expression.
Through a Dance Prayer the class quiets down, tuning into the sixth chakra. The class will end with relaxation, connecting
yourself with the universal consciousness through the seventh (or: crown) chakra.
